“Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go.”

- T.S. Eliot

Hannah Walsh Coaching was founded in 2020 to help level the start line at endurance races.

Female participation rate in trail running has grown to almost 50% in the last 25 years but struggles to reach a mere 10% at many longer and more technical events such as the UTMB or Spine Race.

I am completely obsessed with giving you the skills and confidence to support more women onto ultramarathon start lines from the back to the front of the pack and everyone in between.

I started Hannah Walsh Coaching because I had the chance to be a part of some really amazing experiences with other women.

I wanted to help show more women what they are truly capable of and be a part of something bigger than themselves.

I get huge joy out of helping you see past your limitations by giving you a sense that this is possible.

Coaching for me is about creating a safe space to come together to find belonging, connection and confidence.

Your Women’s Ultrarunning Coach

I help women find their confidence on the trails, realise their full potential and show up to the start line of their ultramarathon leaving no stone unturned so they are as prepared as possible to deal with the unpredictable nature of ultrarunning.

Some of the events i’ve participated in or coached athletes for:

Race to the Stones

Ultra Trail Du Mont Blanc

Marathon des Sables

South Downs Way 100

Lakeland 50 & 100

Lavaredo Ultra Trail

Lake Sonoma 50

MY FAVOURITES / THIS AND THAT

TRAIL RUNNING / ROAD RUNNING

CATS / DOGS

PRE ULTRA PIZZA / PRE ULTRA BURGER

ICE ULTRA / DESERT ULTRA

TEA / COFFEE

ULTRA TRAIL MONT BLANC / SPINE RACE

In 2014, I stood on the start line on the start line of my first ultramarathon, Race to the Stones. A 100K iconic route along the UK’s oldest footpath.

I was part of a women’s only ultrarunning team, RTTS100 sponsored by The North Face. We were a group of 10 ordinary women who were collectively taking on something bigger than anything we’d ever done before.

The truth is, back then, I felt like I had no business standing on that start line and I made every mistake in the rulebook in getting there.

Fast forward almost 10 years later, i’ve had my fair share of running coaches and stood on finish lines in Chamonix, France to the Atacama Desert (Chile) and everything in-between.

I’m on a mission to give women the confidence and skills so they can chase down big ultrarunning goals and finally realise what they are truly capable of.
