You don’t have to be a pro runner to work with a running coach, many of the women I support have never worked with a coach before.

It doesn’t matter how beginner or experienced you are. If you have big goals you want to achieve, they are valid and you deserve to be supported.

But you don’t have to have one. They are a luxury and there might be times in your life when hiring a running coach doesn’t make sense.

You can absolutely achieve your goals without a coach but having the support of someone who has been right where you now is invaluable.

Here are some times where it makes sense to hire a running coach:

You have a goal but don’t know how to get from A to B

You keep getting injured

You’ve had a recent DNF (Did Not Finish)

Your training feels like it’s plateaued

You are struggling to stay consistent

When is the right time to hire an ultrarunning coach?

You’re a perfect fit for coaching if:

  • You want to challenge your limits and chase your biggest dreams and you want someone on your side who believes it’s possible for you.

  • You’re in it for the long haul and not just looking to tick the ultramarathon box. Coaching commitments with me start from 6 months.

  • You’re willing to put in the time and commit to the program. Ultramarathon success takes time, consistency and patience are key in endurance sports.

  • You want someone who will treat your training like you’re a pro, whether you’re a back or front of the pack runner. You deserve more than a cookie cutter training plan.

  • You want someone who’s been exactly where you are and knows what it takes to juggle ultramarathon training, a full time job, family commitments and a personal life.
